Senator Hoeven Sends Off 30 Fargo Guard Members Bound For Fort Bragg
U.S. Sen. John Hoeven on Thursday recognized members of the North Dakota National Guard’s Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 112th Aviation Regiment as they prepare to deploy to Fort Bragg in support of a critical medical mission.
Approximately 30 North Dakota National Guard members and three aircraft are mobilizing to provide continuous Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) coverage for the installation. The mission will focus on delivering emergency, point-of-injury care and rapid transport of patients to the nearest Role 4 medical facility, ensuring timely access to advanced medical treatment for servicemembers.
“The men and women of the North Dakota National Guard continue to answer the call to serve with professionalism, courage and dedication,” Hoeven said. “Delta Company is taking on a critical mission that will help ensure our servicemembers receive lifesaving medical care when they need it most. We are grateful for these Guard members’ willingness to serve and for the sacrifices made by them and their families. We look forward to welcoming them home safely.”
Delta Company is based at the Fargo Readiness Center and will assume responsibility for continuous garrison and training-area MEDEVAC coverage at Fort Bragg. The unit is taking over duties previously managed by Charlie Company (Medical Evacuation), 3rd Battalion, 82nd General Support Aviation Battalion.
Officials said the deployment represents a significant milestone for the unit. It marks Delta Company’s first major mission since 2018, when it supported operations at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels and Grafenwöhr, Germany.
