Tornado sirens are designed to alert anyone outdoors that bad weather is moving in. They are not meant to be heard indoors. If you can hear them indoors, that is great, but if you rely only on sirens for severe weather alerts, especially at night when you are asleep, you could miss critical warnings.

It should be pointed out that these sirens are tested weekly in Williston and Williams County, and tomorrow is the first day for 2026. It usually happens every Wednesday from April through September at 12:00pm.
