Motley Crue Adds Minnesota State Fair to 2024 Tour
Make it a 'State Fair Trifecta' for Motley Crue in 2024.
Already booked to appear at the North Dakota State Fair and Iowa State Fair, the band has now added a stop at the Minnesota State Fair this summer.
The show is Thursday, August 29 at 7:00 PM.
Motley Crue got their start in Los Angeles in 1981.
They have released nine studio albums over the years, selling more than 100 million copies. One of those albums, Dr. Feelgood, topped the U.S. chart for two weeks in October 1989.
The current version of the band features original members Vince Neil (vocals), Nikki Sixx (bass), and Tommy Lee (drums). Original guitarist Mick Mars was replaced by John 5 in 2022.
It wasn't that long ago that rock fans never thought they'd get a chance to see Motley Crue perform live again.
After all, they did have that infamous press conference in January 2014 when they announced their intentions to hang it up for good after one final tour. They even went as far as signing contracts that supposedly forbade them from playing live again after the conclusion of that tour, December 31, 2015.
That lasted all of seven years.
Tickets for the Minnesota State Fair show range from $77 to $207 (plus taxes and fees) for reserved seating or $154 (plus taxes and fees) for admission to the party deck. They go on sale Friday (February 16) at 10:00 AM.
The Minnesota show will be sandwiched between a stop at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot, on Friday, July 19, and a show at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, Iowa Wednesday, August 14.
