Could This Guy Climb ND’s Tallest Building In Less Than An Hour?
That's a tough question, something to think about
However, judging by this man's performance last Saturday, I would say North Dakota's tallest building would be a piece of cake ( no offense, North Dakota ). The gentleman I am talking about is 40-year-old Alex Holland. In my mind, this guy is the greatest athlete in the world. He is most famous for climbing El Capitan in Yosemite National Park back on June 3rd, 2017. Why is that so special? He became the first person to climb the wall without ropes or safety equipment. Took him 3 hours and 56 minutes to climb the 3,000-foot Freerider route on El Capitan.

If that weren't enough, check out what happened this past weekend
In front of a LIVE audience on Netflix this past Saturday, Alex stood at the base of a 1,667-foot building in Taiwan, Taipei 101, one of the tallest buildings in the world, put on his climbing shoes, and proceeded to make that first step. About 90 minutes later, he stood literally on top, almost on top of the world:
So I was just sitting around thinking, how long would it take him to climb North Dakota's tallest building?
Do you even know which city that building is in?
If you said right here in Bismarck, YOU are correct. "The Skyscraper on the Prairie" - measurements are 242 feet tall, 21 floors. Maybe some of you out there have scaled all the floors to the top on foot, INSIDE via the stairs. How long would you guess Alex could do it - Free Solo? I'm going to predict less than 15 minutes, but it's safe to say we will probably never know for sure.
