Well, good news when it comes to our roads and construction...

...especially if you are already in the habit of taking alternate routes to get around town, work, or home. I'm quite sure I'm not the only one who got burned by this. I found myself trying to avoid the slower traffic on the 94 ( both directions, it doesn't matter ) so I thought I would be a genius and head over to River Road - How did that work out for me you are asking? A boatload of curse words out of my mouth, that's how. Retracing my steps and drive back up the steep hill of Burnt Boat Drive, heading back to the 94. All because a part of River Road was closed.

September 27, 2024 -  a little bit of freedom has opened up!

This morning, I let out a silent scream and a visual fist bump to all those who have been stuck before, when I saw the new release. From the Bismarck ND City Government

"River Road to OPEN Between Fraine Barracks Road and the Water Treatment Plant

The road construction project on River Road between Fraine Barracks Road and the water treatment plant is finished and the road is planned to be OPEN by noon on Friday, September 27, 2024"  - So there you go, some minor ( MAJOR ) joy now you can look forward to when planning on getting into your car and getting to your destination in a hopefully non-frustrating manner. In the meantime, the construction on the 94 will continue probably until Mother Nature puts her foot down.
