Bismarck Larks 27-Year Old Matthew Wurnig’s Bright Future
You can't miss this charming 27-year walking out on the field...
...at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark - either dressed in all purple...
...or wearing a Bismarck Larks jersey, Matt has been making people smile and feel good since 2019. He and his sister Kaitlyn ( third from the left ) took their personalities into making a baseball game such an enjoyable place to be. Entertaining the crowd by getting them involved down on the field or in the stands - it takes a special kind of person to "teach others by their actions just to be yourself"
A brilliant idea in the middle of COVID
Back in 2021, Matthew had a brilliant idea - virtual dating - now I realize he didn't invent this, he expanded it to a higher level!!! 50 Dates 50 States - This young man became a hero in my book right away - So how could he top that first year? Easy - he went out and did a 2nd year - this time he went around the country and dated IN PERSON! I asked him what are some of the things he is most proud of - "Everything starts with an idea - from there of course you have your ups and downs. His favorite memory is one most of us can only dream of.
Good Morning America - WOW!
5 minutes and 50 seconds - this was back in September of 2022. "So grateful...I remember being in the airport in New York after my appearance on the show, just with a huge smile that wouldn't leave my face" The whole country had a chance to see what many Bismarck and Mandan have grown to love - as humble and polite as a human being you will ever meet. Whether he has a microphone in his hands and is in front of a thousand people, or he's sitting in a small studio three feet away - his attitude never changes. The first thing he does when he sees you is to make sure YOU are doing well. That's called respect.
An exciting future ahead
Matt's talents run deep, and I'm super excited to see him out here in Bismarck once again - check out what he is up to :)
I love this part of Matt the most - I was teasing him in the studio about how many people look up to him - including some of the Bismarck Larks ballplayers AND opposing visiting teams from other cities - "They ask me if I'm THE guy who dated all those women" ( I would still be bragging if that was me ) - there is a possibility of another season being in the works. He is currently talking to.....get this...Warner Bros studios in Hollywood - someday soon I will not be surprised if I see Matt on either Netflix..or Hulu. His real draw and strength is that he is as real as it gets.
