I wrote not long ago about our yearly struggles with construction all around town...

...and when we think of that, cones everywhere come to mind, tons of people wearing hard hats alongside the highway - detours are also very much part of the aggravation. Most of us however have no clue how much REAL damage is being done. Our businesses are trapped INSIDE all the construction.

A Local Entrepreneur on Facebook said it perfectly

Earlier this afternoon on Facebook, Chad Wacter addressed what many BisMan businesses are going through:

"Good afternoon, Facebook friends,

I own the building on Third Street that houses Nara and The Fire Pit. The ongoing road construction and closures have been financially devastating for them, especially during their busiest season. Without immediate support from our community, these beloved businesses are at serious risk of closing permanently.
I am doing what I can by waiving their rent for a month, but this alone isn't enough. They desperately need our patronage to survive this crisis. Please, if you value having these businesses in our community, make an effort to visit them and support them during this difficult time. Your actions now can help save them from closing their doors for good. Thank you for your support"
Chad's words are 100% dead on
- no matter how bad the inconvenience is, we must not stop supporting each other. "It's the right thing to do", he told me on the phone this afternoon. As the owner  - Chad feels for his tenants and wants them to succeed  - "If they're successful, I'm successful"
Remember what he said...."It's the right thing to do"  - it's what North Dakotans do for one another.
