The big question is ( Without all of us holding our breath ) will this FINALLY pass?

This is one of those topics that people will discuss at great length - "Do you wish we never had to change our clocks twice a year?" There are many debates for and against

however this year, there is a feeling ( and HOPE ) in the air that House Bill 1259 will FINALLY pass. What will that mean for all of us North Dakotans? Get ready to throw

away all your clocks, for there is "Light at the end of the tunnel"...Maybe

Only two U.S. states, Arizona and Hawaii, don't observe daylight saving time at all

Ever since I've been out here in North Dakota ( for almost 11 years ), talk of leaving our clocks alone, and never having to hassle with daylight savings time was always a hope

for most people - back in 2021 a similar bill was defeated. Here we are now,  and there is just "one more set of hoops to jump through" before this becomes a reality.

According to northdakotamonitor.com "North Dakotans would no longer need to change...

...their clocks for daylight saving time under a bill approved Tuesday by House lawmakers. The House voted 55-37 to approve House Bill 1259, which would keep the

state on standard time year-round" So the final step - the bill advances to the Senate. One of the arguments against this bill makes perfect sense - "Rep. Bernie

Satrom, R-Jamestown, said he doesn’t like the proposal because he enjoys having an extra hour of daylight in the summer to play with kids and grandkids in the evening"

northdakotamonitor.com added. Only time will tell if this passes.
