Former/Current UND Students At This Years Winter Olympics

So, which is your favorite - The summer or winter Olympics?

I'm partial to both, although I relate more to the summer Olympics, and I think more people feel the same way. Obviously, these two events alternate with each other, and are each run every four years. To me and so many others, WE will never forget the magic of the 1980 United States Men's Hockey team. Watching the movie MIRACLE never fails to give me goosebumps. I remember one of the players from that team ( Dave Christian ) went to UND.

So exactly where is the site of the 2026 Winter Olympics that just began? Northern Italy - Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. - according to the North Dakota History of Cities, Towns, and Places:

USA Men’s Hockey: Brock Nelson and Jake Sanderson

Finland Women’s Hockey: Michelle Karvinen and Susana Tapani

Presidential Delegation: Jocelyn Lamoreux-Davidson and Monique Lamoreux-Kolls

NBC Studio Analyst: TJ Oshie

Jones is from Utah and is majoring in Biomedical Engineering.

Nelson graduated in 2012, and Sanderson graduated in 2022.

Karvinen and Tapani both graduated in 2014.

Lamoreux-Davidson and Lamoreux-Kolls helped Team USA win the gold medal in women’s hockey at the 2018 Olympics. They graduated in 2013.

Oshie graduated in 2008 and was a part of the 2014 USA men’s hockey team that finished fourth. He’s also a Stanley Cup winner and has played in more than 1,000 NHL games.

The Olympics started last night and will continue through Feb. 22.
