Here is a chance to have your voice heard - your thoughts, YOUR input

Later this evening parents will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, and concerns on transportation - The Bismarck Public School transportation. The responsibilities and safety matters every year are enormous and with everyone's involvement, hopefully, everything will run smoother. Here is the invitation the Bismarck School Board released today:

"All community members are invited to an input session to discuss the topic of transportation at Bismarck Public Schools. The district is seeking public input to help improve the quality, safety, and reliability of the BPS transportation program. One proposed solution to the district’s transportation needs currently being considered involves moving to a two-tier bus system, which would impact the start and end times of our school day. The Bismarck School Board and leaders from BPS will be in attendance to listen and gather stakeholder feedback. This event will be held at Horizon Middle School on Monday, October 7, from 7:00-8:30 PM and will be facilitated by the Consensus Council"

Split-shift school hours/days

I remember years ago in San Diego when I was in 7th grade, our junior high school was so populated, that they had to incorporate different school shifts for the students - some would go in earlier and get out early, and others would go in later, and get out late. The important thing about this meeting tonight is that everyone has a voice and an idea - that's what matters the most - people working together.
