Have you ever wondered which are the richest cities in North Dakota? Even if you haven't, I'm going to tell you anyway.

A study was done by HomeSnacks to find the answer to this question.

Calculations

In order to come up with this list, they looked at the census data from 2018 to 2022 from the American Community Survey for 27 different places in North Dakota with more than 2000 people.

From this survey they looked at the average median income, poverty rates, and house prices to compile this list.

Looking at that information, the source put together a list of the top ten richest cities in North Dakota.

Going backwards, let's take a look at some of the wealthiest cities in our state.

Horace was listed as the richest city in the entire state. According to the source, the median household income is more than $146,000 per year. They also found that this North Dakota city has an incredibly low poverty rate (5.325%).

There you have it; those are the ten richest cities in North Dakota for 2024. If you’re planning on moving, you might want to keep this in mind and make sure you want to shell out the cash for.

Thoughts?

Personally, I find it surprising that our capital city, Bismarck, didn't rank number one on the list. That said, it did make the top ten.

Do you find any of these surprising? Have you moved to any of these listed North Dakota cities and been surprised by the housing prices?

As always, thanks for reading!
