Halloween is such a fun day for kids all over North Dakota. While the holiday is, of course, about the kids, their little costumes, and candy, can't the adults have a little fun too?

Sure, you can go out to Halloween parties and get dressed up too, but if you are the stay-at-home, avoid-the-craziness type, what can you do?

Hmm...

Hypothetically speaking —if you wanted to hand out beer to adults walking around the neighborhood taking their kids trick-or-treating— remember I said HYPOTHETICALLY —is it legal?

The question at hand is if you wanted to do something fun like this for parents, will the wee-woo's show up at your door and haul you off to jail? Well, I did a little digging and, look, don't trust me, but I couldn't find any law specifically against it.

I did see on the Department of Health and Human Services website, that there are restrictions and limits for community and special events, but I haven't been able to find anything that says you can't hand out beer in your driveway to people 21 and over.

As long as you don't become a public nuisance, check IDs, and tell the parents not to pop the top until they get home, I don't see the harm.

In any case, be careful this Halloween, have fun, and don't drink and drive.

I hope all Hallows Eve gives you laughs and maybe even a few Boo...ze.
