Summer isn't over just yet, and believe me, I' not wishing it away, but fall is pretty fun too. Before the leaves start falling, and temperatures start dropping, here are a few things you can do to kick off the fall season.

1. Bath & Body

Stop into the Kirkwood Mall and go to Bath & Body Works and go crazy. I was there the other day, and they already have all of their fall and Halloween scents out. Grab a few soaps and lotions to add a little spicy smells to your life.

2. Spooky Spirit

Get into the spooky spirit with a trip to Spirit Halloween. The Bismarck store just opened for the season, and it's in a new location (old Jo Ann Fabrics building). Check out all o their Halloween decor and look around to see if you can find some inspiration for your Halloween costume this year.

3. Candy

It's basically a Bismarck tradition. At the beginning of October we have to pick up a bag of candy for trick-or-treaters We do it early because if you wait, all the good candy get swiped from the shelves. We buy candy, we put it in the bowl, and it gets all too tempting. Before we know it, that bag of candy is gone. We end up back at the store a few more times over the course of the month. It's fine.

4. Fall Drinks

Without a doubt, there will be some delicious fall-themed drinks at places like Oscars, Shakers on Third and more. You have to try at least a few of them.

5. Fall Decor

Drive to north Bismarck, stop into Kirkland's and HomeGoods, and don't let anyone tell you that you don't need another pumpkin pillow. You do. You need ALL THE FALL in you home. Go nuts.
