North Dakota State University Grad Killed In Texas Shooting

Another mass shooting has struck the country and left many full of fear and heartbreak. Sadly, the latest shooting in Texas hits close to home, as several reports tell us one of the victims has ties to North Dakota.

NDSU Student Dies In Texas Shooting

According to KUT.org, a shooting occurred early Sunday morning at one of the liveliest bar districts in Austin, Texas (West Sixth Street), killing four people and injuring more than a dozen others. One of the victims was identified as 30-year-old Jorge Pederson, a Minnesota native.

According to Valley News Live, Pederson was a graduate of North Dakota State University who had moved to Austin only two weeks before his tragic death. KUT reported that Pederson was starting a new job in tech sales. Pederson was also very passionate about mixed martial arts and was about to make his professional debut in the sport.
