Sunflowers Are Back In North Dakota, Here’s Where You Can Find Them
Most North Dakotans dread the end of summer; we want as much warmth and sunshine as possible.
While the warm weather and river days are hard to say goodbye to, there is something we look forward to at the tail end of the season.
Of course, I'm talking about all of the beautiful sunflower fields that bloom across North Dakota. They are starting to pop up now, so you should go take a look, get a selfie in front of them, and bask in their glory.
NDTourism.com put together a map to help you find all the sunflower fields in the state. They just updated it today (7/15) for the 2025 sunflower season.
Not only do they show you where the different fields are, with driving directions and exact GPS coordinates, they also tell you how tall the sunflowers are and which fields are in their brightest and best bloom.
Keep in mind that typically, August is the best time to go driving around to look at these sunflower fields. According to the source, they will be updating the sunflower map weekly throughout August.
The source also says most of the landowners don't mind people stopping to look at the fields as long as they are respectful to the plants and property. You should also be cautious and careful when it comes to parking along roadways.
