If you were hoping for snow this winter, well, you got it. It's actually surprising that we held off this long.

Yes, the white puffy stuff is on the ground, and now it's time to get back into the wintertime groove.

After so long without snow, sometimes North Dakotans forget... they lose all common sense when it comes to snow and winter safety, so let this be a reminder. Here are the most annoying things North Dakotans do when it snows.

Annoying Things North Dakotans Do When It Snows

1. Purposely Slide Cars

Look, I know it's fun to slide a little on the ice, but let's not do that with our vehicles. Don't purposely slide your 2-ton car around a curve, then act surprised when you end up stuck in a ditch or wrapped around a light pole. You're a danger to others and a danger to yourself.

2. Drive With Snow

You see it every year; people driving around town with half a foot of snow on their hoods because they didn't get up early enough to sweep it off their cars. You look ridiculous...and how can you see with all of that snow dust kicking up?

3. Clean Out Stores

For some reason, right before the first couple of snows of the season, people seem to think they need to buy every loaf of bread and roll of toilet paper. Unless we're headed toward the next ice age, I don't see how this is necessary. You drive a lifted 4-wheel drive truck for crying out loud. You will make it out again.

4. Park Like An Idiot

Parking is hard enough when you can't see the lines, but the true winter parking crime is parking on snow mounds. It never fails, every year, some (teenager, I imagine) takes their pickup truck and parks at the very top of a large snow mound.

You know what's super mysterious about this phenomenon? We see the trucks on the mound, we see the drop, but we never actually get to witness the person crawling up and down the mound. I would like to see how "Cool" crawling and slipping up to your car looks.
