"Schmidt Happens" Hay Maze Now Open In Bismarck
The maze reportedly contains more than 800 round and square hay bales. The maze is appropriately named "Schmidt Happens" after the man who designed it and assembled it all by himself, Josh Schmidt.
A standard bale of hay can weigh anywhere from 40 to 1200 pounds, so I'm willing to bet building a maze out of hundreds of them was no small undertaking. If you're looking to get outside and enjoy the autumn season, add this to your October to-do list.
Pricing & Hours of Operation
The maze is open every day from 11 am to 7 pm. Admission is free for children 5 and under, $5 for kids ages 6-10, and $10 for everyone else.
