North Dakota Tourism Updates 2026 Sunflower Field Map
ND Tourism put together a map to help you find all the sunflower fields in the state. They just updated it on July 31st for the 2026 sunflower season. The 2026 map has a record 32 fields on the map, and they will be updating it throughout the month (August).
Not only do they show you where the different fields are, with driving directions and exact GPS coordinates, they also tell you how tall the sunflowers are and which fields are in their brightest and best bloom.
Stopping At North Dakota Sunflower Fields
Most of the landowners don't mind people stopping to look at the fields as long as they are respectful to the plants and property, but it is best to get permission. You should also be cautious and careful when it comes to parking along roadways, and remember that many of these plants are sprayed with pesticides and other potentially harmful chemicals.
Signs Summer Is Ending
Most North Dakotans dread the end of summer; we want as much warmth and sunshine as possible. While the warm weather and river days are hard to say goodbye to, we always look forward to seeing these beautiful fields.
They are starting to pop up now, so you should go take a look and bask in their glory.
