Fargo Based Scheels Is Set To Open A New Store In The Region

One of North Dakota's most beloved retailers is expanding its footprint in the region.

Employee-owned Scheels has announced a new retail store location in the region. The Fargo, North Dakota, company currently has 36 stores across 16 different states.

We currently have 4 Scheels locations across North Dakota. One is located in Grand Forks at the Columbia Mall, another in Minot at Dakota Square Mall, Fargo's is situated off 45th Street, and our Scheels is in Bismarck at the Kirkwood Mall.

The new Scheels store will be the 37th Scheels location when it opens in 2028.

The NEW Scheels location will be in Blaine, Minnesota, according to a social media post from Scheels in Fargo.

This will be the 2nd Scheels location in the Twin Cities Metropolitan and 6th in the state. The other is located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

The store is expected to open in the spring of 2028 and will be a whopping 250,000 square feet, according to an article on KVRR-TV. This new store is expected to create more than 500 new jobs in the region.

Some of the attractions expected at the new Scheels in Blaine include:

A ferris wheel, similar to what they have at the Fargo location, a candy shop, and a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium filled with over 600 fish. The store will also have a wildlife mountain, arcade games, and a restaurant.
