Nope, in North Dakota, when it comes to our lakes, I believe we are more about quality rather than sheer numbers.

One of those lakes in the top 11 also received some recent national cred. The little magazine that used to be a fixture at doctor's and dentist's offices, "Reader's Digest" just named the 50 Best Lakes in country and I can't disagree with the choice for North Dakota.

According to Reader's Digest, one of the 50 Prettiest Lakes in America is none other than Devils Lake.

The article goes on to say that Devils Lake offers scenic shores and prime fishing grounds. Devils Lake is North Dakota's largest natural lake, with close to 200,000 acres to explore.

Devils Lake is known as the perch capital of the world and is also a tremendous walleye and northern pike fishery. Devils Lake is a four-season playground with so much to do anytime of year.
