Big Policy Changes Impacting North Dakota Sam’s Club Stores
We have a total of three Sam's Club stores in North Dakota.
One in Fargo, Grand Forks, and our Bismarck location, located right off of Expressway at 2821 Rock Island Pl in south Bismarck.
Sam's Club's roots started out as an experiment with its Walmart parent company.
According to Wikipedia, the first Sam's Club was founded by Sam Walton in 1983 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The very first store was a membership-only club that was geared to help small businesses buy products in bulk. Again, it was more of an experiment at the time to give a helping hand to mom and pop companies.
Since then, Sam's Club has exploded across the country with approximately 600 stores in the United States and Puerto Rico.
I would say the experiment worked. Each Sam's Club retail space averages around 136,000 square feet. Now, Sam's Club's around the country cater to just about everyone in need of a good deal when you buy products in bulk.
Sam's Club announces new changes to store policy.
They are extending store hours just in time for the holidays to make shopping more convenient during this busy season.

According to Axios, Sam's Club locations all across North Dakota and nationwide will move to a simplified schedule from 8 am to 8 pm daily, with a few exceptions. These hours are in effect now.
Sundays are the biggest change with hours expanding from 10 am to 6 pm to 8 am to 8 pm.
Curbside pickup on Sundays will be from 7 am to 8 pm. Sam's Club holiday hours this year include being closed on Thanksgiving, closing at 6 pm on Christmas Eve, and remaining closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
