Good news on a dining favorite on Main Street in Mandan, North Dakota.

No doubt about it, there has been a rash of businesses in and around the Bismarck Mandan area that have closed up shop recently.  News broke over the weekend that Station West Bar and Grill decided to shut its close its doors permanently.

Although Ohms Café in Mandan has not shut its doors, it has been for sale for a while now.

Ohms Café has been a staple in Mandan for many, many years.  Going all the way back to 1946.  Ohms is among the oldest family-owned restaurants in the state of North Dakota.  When the for sale signs went up back in 2022 many of its loyal customers were nervous about what could happen to the family diner.

According to a Facebook post from the business, Ohms Café is no longer on the market.

In this post, they took the time to show empathy for the area businesses closing.  They also went on to say that they have taken the café off the market.  Apparently, a third generation of their family will be taking over the business.  So, Ohms Café will basically stay the same great establishment.  A niece will become the new owner and plans to do some interior updates, but that's about it.

Good news if you're a fan of Ohms Café.  One of North Dakota's oldest family restaurants will continue on.  Like one of their customers said in their Facebook post.  "This makes me smile".
