Target To Close All North Dakota Stores On Same Day
November is nearly over and don't blink; the holidays will be here before you know it.
Let's face it, every holiday season these days has been extended. Halloween madness begins in August. People start thinking about Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping in October and don't get me going on Christmas. Crazy people are putting up Christmas trees in early November which was thinkable not that many years ago.
Nothing has changed more though than Black Friday.
Over the last ten years, the trend has been to begin "Black Friday" on Thursday evening or even earlier on Thanksgiving. Stores like Walmart and Target would open up sometime on Thanksgiving, giving shoppers even more time to start their holiday shopping.
This may have been convenient for Christmas shoppers but left a bad taste in the mouths of employees who had to leave their family Thanksgiving celebrations early to go to work.
Now, it seems there has been a shift in Black Friday shopping again.
Many of the big retailers have Black Friday sales beginning well before Thanksgiving. Not only that, but there's also a pivot back to stores staying closed on Thanksgiving so employees may stay at home with family. I think this is a WONDERFUL trend.
Many major retailers have recently announced they will remain closed for Thanksgiving 24.
Including Walmart, Costco, Best Buy, Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenny, Kohl's, Lowe's, Michaels.
Now, you can add one more MAJOR retailer to the closed on Thanksgiving list. TARGET.
According to BlackFriday!com, all Target stores not only in North Dakota but across the nation will be closed on Thanksgiving so employees may enjoy the holiday with their families.
Have a very blessed Thanksgiving to all my readers, now get that tree up.
