The #1 Thing Crooks Are Stealing From BisMan Yards Right Now

Bismarck Mandan has a growing theft problem.

According to sources from Law Enforcement, there have been numerous reports of people stealing this item from homeowners' yards.

It's something you probably didn't even think was illegal. To be honest, it could just be kids being kids, but as it turns out, it's not only illegal but is a class B misdemeanor for anything under $500 dollars in value.

The problem with this particular form of theft is it's often times targeted because people disagree with your point of view.  They feel the need to remove your right to display something in your yard.  Something that is very common this time of year as we get close to election day.

You guessed it, we have a problem in Bismarck Mandan of people removing and stealing political signs.

This act, as described above, is something that can get you into trouble with the law. I also had a listener of mine who lives in north Bismarck describing how she has had several of her "Trump-Vance" for President signs stolen from her yard.

My listener described the theft as annoying and very disrespectful. It's also against the law.

They have since installed cameras in their yard to hopefully catch the lawn crooks.

I also spoke with another Law Enforcement officer in the Capital Region who confirmed, that they are also receiving numerous calls concerning theft of political signs at his precinct.

Nothing divides us more these days than politics. I for one will be so glad when the election is done. Behave people.
