The Best Airline In The USA For 2026 Flys Into Bismarck Airport
The Best Airlines Report
According to the Points Guy, the best airline in the United States has departures and arrivals several times a day to and from the Bismarck Airport. More on that in a moment.
First off, who is the Points Guy? If you travel by air a lot, he's probably somebody you should follow. His name is Brian Kelly, an entrepreneur, author, and travel expert who built a massive media empire and consumer brand dedicated to maximizing credit card rewards, airline miles, and loyalty points.
The Winning Airlines for 2026
According to the article, it was neck and neck between four airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Alaska Air Group, and Delta Airlines. All four of those airlines could've gone wheels up on a runway and risen to the top spot. However, when the smoke from the jet fuel cleared, the same airline that had claimed the top spot for the last 8 years was the winner.
1. Delta Airlines
*Scored well with on-time performance, lounges, and involuntary bumps. It did not score well in the affordability category.
2 United Airlines
*Scored well with their international route network and frequent flyer benefits. Scored poorly with affordability and mishandled baggage.
3. Southwest Airlines
*Scored well with reliability and fees. Scored poorly in lounges (they have none).
4. Alaska Air Group
*Scored well with on-time performance and currency value. Scored poorly on mishandled wheelchairs and scooters.
5. American Airlines
*Scored well with loyalty rewards program and domestic route network. Scored poorly on flight cancellations and on-time performance.
6. Jet Blue

Two airlines went the way of the dodo bird in 2026, as Sun Country merged with Allegiant Air, and Spirit Airlines went belly up.
