Hard to believe it, but another school year is not that far from ending in North Dakota.

We are well into March, and we are heading into prom season. Then comes graduation and summer vacation. Somebody, please slow time down.

I still get those butterflies in my stomach when I think of my school days.  I'm not sure what it is, but you just never forget those feelings when you were young.

Now, I've been out of school for much longer than I care to admit.  Maybe I was a strange kid, but I always found the end of the school year somewhat sad. Not that I enjoyed homework and all that studying, but I knew my life would be changing.

I can still hear that last bell of the school year, knowing my friends and my surroundings would be altered again. Safe to say that I'm a creature of habit and fear change.

Our friends at Niche have ranked the top North Dakota Public High Schools in the state for 2025.

Their findings are based on reviews from students and parents, academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education, along with test scores and college data.  Only one of our schools in the Bismarck-Mandan area made the top 10.

However, we did have four area high schools that made the top 25.

(Keep in mind, these are public high schools only)
