It's been an up-and-down spring so far as far as the weather goes in North Dakota.

We have had our share of warmer days that get us excited for summer and our snow days as well. This is a hard reminder that spring can be very unpredictable, more so than any other season in North Dakota.

Spring in North Dakota is one of those seasons where you will likely need the heater on in your vehicle in the morning and maybe the air conditioner in the afternoon.

The next couple of days across North Dakota are likely to be this way, as temps will be in the 60s and 70s for daytime highs after cooler mornings.

I wrote a story recently on what the National Weather Service is predicting for the summer of 2025 in North Dakota.

(SEE ALSO: What the National Weather Service has to say about the weather this summer of 2025 in North Dakota)

They are predicting well below average precipitation during the months of June through July, which is not good news with our already dry conditions. They also expect slightly above average temperatures during that time frame.

As it turns out, the Farmer's Almanac also has an opinion on what we can expect this summer in North Dakota.

There are a lot of people who swear by the Farmer's Almanac. It's been around for a long time. Good news if you like it hot. The Farmer's Almanac is predicting a scorching hot summer for us in North Dakota.

You might want to get your pool ready because it could be a good year for it. Both the National Weather and the Farmer's Almanac say it's going to be a warm summer.

If you are concerned about our lack of moisture, at least some good news here as the Farmer's Almanac is saying average rainfall.

This differs from what the National Weather Service is saying, as well below average precipitation is expected. I love my North Dakota thunderstorms that roll across the prairie, so hopefully, we will see a few of these storms without the hail and wind damage.
