North Dakota’s Enchanted Highway Adding New Sculpture

A new sculpture will be added to North Dakota's Enchanted Highway, thanks to a Kickstarter campaign that raised more than $20,000.

Originally, according to The Bismarck Tribune, the new sculpture was going to be a giant spiderweb, but creator Gary Greff couldn't find a landowner willing to let him place the giant piece of art on their property.

Instead, Greff is creating a knight and dragon sculpture that will sit in front of the Enchanted Castle in Regent, which is the unofficial end of the Enchanted Highway.

Beginning at Exit 72 on I-94, the Enchanted Highway features large metal sculptures, including the 'World's Largest Tin Family,' and stretches for more than thirty miles, according to NDTourism.com.

Greff hopes to have the knight portion of the sculpture, which will be 35-feet tall, completed by the end of the fall. The dragon, which will be 40-feet tall, is expected to follow.
