President Barack Obama has a suggestion for his supporters in New York City: "move to North Dakota."

The tongue-in-cheek remark came during a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in Manhattan's Upper East Side, attended by about fifty people.

"If I could just get about a million surplus votes in Brooklyn out to Nebraska, Wyoming," the president said, referring to his party's difficulty in getting supporters to vote in midterm elections.
