‘Race for Rescues’ to Benefit Central Dakota Humane Society
The 2nd Annual Race for Rescues to benefit Central Dakota Humane Society is coming up Friday, May 6th at Sertoma Park.
My furry family members, Katie Cuddles and Kalina chose me on one of my visits at CDHS. Anyone that has cats knows that they allow YOU to serve THEM. The saying, 'dogs have masters, cats have staff' is certainly true, at least in my home.
This fun 5K run, 5K walk, and 10K run will help all the other cats and dogs waiting for their forever homes. The Bismarck Mandan area has a huge road racing community, along with many cat and dog lovers. It is sure to be fun event. I am planning to run this year after taking a year to recover from knee surgery. It has been a long year of recovery, but I feel ready to tackle the 5k run. I will not be fast, but I will be out there, running to support CDHS. I hope to see you out there too.
Race day registration and packet pick up will be at Sertoma Park, Shelter 7 from 6 - 6:30 p.m. Race times are as follows:
- 10K/run - 7 p.m.
- 5K/run - 7:10 p.m.
- 5K/walk - 7:15 p.m.
