PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — Some South Dakota farmers are upset by the selection of rocker Joan Jett to perform on the state's float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

She is scheduled to appear on the float that promotes South Dakota. Cory Eich, president of the South Dakota Cattlemen's Association, says he thinks the selection was a mistake because Jett is a supporter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
