The Strangest Law in North Dakota and Every State.
Every year it seems as though we have new laws, old laws and the strangest laws. Thrillist is always at it, coming out with those strange one of a kind stories. Sit back, relax and gaze in wonder at some of these strange laws (real laws) in various states.
Here we go-
- Arkansas- you have to pronounce the state correctly or it's breaking the law. Mispronouncing the state name is strictly forbidden.
- Connecticut- a pickle is not a pickle! For a pickle to legally be called a pickle, it must bounce.
- Georgia- Watch your mouth or I'll wash it with soap if you're under the age of 15! Using profane language to a person under 14 in person or by telephone is considered disorderly conduct in Georgia.
- North Dakota- Seeing double? You may not knowingly clone (or attempt to clone) another human
- Rhode Island- The fine young cannibal? If you intentionally bite off your friend’s arm, it's breaking the law. If it's an accident, go ahead and chomp away!
- Texas- Sit down and drink! If you’re standing up, you’re only legally allowed to take three sips of beer. Please, take a seat and chug-a-lug!
- Wisconsin- That's no way to fish! Killing or harming a fish with a gun is against the law in Wyoming. You have to do it the old fashion way, with a pole.
