Do North Dakota women really like messy buns that much?

As a woman, I am a little bit shocked that the women in our state are so obsessed with messy buns that the hairstyle is the most popular in North Dakota. That is such a lazy look and I honestly would have never considered it a style. I mean, I wear a messy bun on my cleaning days or the days where I am vegging out in my PJs. Meanwhile, the most popular hairstyle for North Dakota men is actually sleek and stylish.

Now, as a hairstylist, I pay close attention to people's hair. I can't help it, I look at and analyze EVERYONE'S hair. I have to say that I do not see a ton of messy buns on a daily basis. For women my age and younger, at least, I see a lot of long hair, styled down and natural. Which is a way better look than messy buns.
