Why North Dakotans Fall In Love During The Fall
Seasons come and seasons go...
But one thing is for certain
Autumn holds more gold in its pocket than all other seasons!
With a season this beautiful, although sad to say goodbye to Summer it is hard to be disappointed with a season that offers yet more beauty with a hint of something in the air... such as love possibly.
According to news.onecountry.com "Fall Is For Lovers". YES - you read that right!
Apparently from their research more people go from "single" to "relationship" or "engaged" status in the fall than in any season.
Hmmm... Now is that due to us North Dakotans not wanting to spend a cold... may long blizzardy winter alone?? That cannot be determined. But now be like us, and watch closely how many friends become "engaged" over the next couple of months.
OR maybe you already fall into that statistic yourself but never thought about it!
Now there may be some science behind this too... aka "Mother Nature's" involved.
We being livestock producers found this possibility interesting...
Both men... AND women typically experience a higher level, or increase, of testosterone in colder months!...
And historically more babies are conceived in cold months than at any other time of year. WELL... There's no short supply of frigid days in Nodak!
So maybe there is something to an old superstition... or "Wive's Tale" from long ago...
The leaves falling around us are not just beautiful,
Catching a falling leaf can bring one Luck.
And furthermore, it has been said as many of these falling beauties, leaves, one catches in the hand in autumn, so many happy months will follow.
