Mike Peluso, the head coach of the boys hockey team at Bismarck High School, and the entire hockey coaching staff are stepping down after 11 years.

In an interview with KX News, Peluso said coaching departures at both Grand Forks Red River and Fargo Davies gave a signal that it was time to move on. Peluso mentioned their departures are 'linked to allegations of using intimidating language toward players'. Check out the interview KX News had with Peluso below.

Peluso stated:

You get nervous. You don't want something like that to be the reason why you get out of coaching. You always want to leave on your own terms. When you see certain things happening out there--you don't know if somebody could take something the wrong way and categorize you into that.

The Bismarck Demons boys hockey team finished 4th overall at the North Dakota state championships this weekend as they were defeated on Saturday by Bismarck Century in the Third Place Game, 10-4.
