If you're like me, you probably have at least five useless apps and twelve tabs open on your computer that you're not using.

Here's a website you might want to have bookmarked if you live in or near Bismarck. The Bismarck Police Department just launched a new website that lets you see the different crimes that have been committed in the community, and the recent calls they've responded to.

The Website

The website is actually very detailed. It shows you everything from "Unconscious fainting" incidents to parking violations and even burglaries.

You can look things up from the past 24 hours, the last 7 days, or even 30 days out.

Why Use It?

Sometimes we get bored at work, and we are all out of money for online shopping. Just kidding... mostly.

The question is, why not? In my opinion, it's better to know what's happening in your community than to not. Also, I'm sure you're like me, and you watch a tremendous amount of true crime shows, so this is very on-brand for us.

This might be a good way to gauge where you might want to buy a house, or find places you might want to avoid, generally. If you're like me it might just be slightly entertaining to see what nefarious things people are up to in our community. Hey, curious isn't bad.

In any case, we love the transparency and appreciate the info. It can't hurt to know.

Keep in mind, as per the site's disclosure statement, some information has been withheld, as it is sensitive and/or is under current investigation.

If you want to check out the site, feel free!
