Bismarck Woman Gets Child Abuse Charges Filed
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Authorities have filed a felony child abuse charge against a Bismarck woman whose mobile home they say was covered in animal feces.
Police officer Nicolas Prigge wrote in an affidavit that he was unable to stay for long periods of time in the home of 40-year-old Tammy Kluksdahl because he became sick from the smell.
Prigge went to the home after the boyfriend of Kluksdahl's 17-year-old daughter alerted police. The officer says there were two dogs, at least four cats and what appeared to be guinea pig cages in the home.
Prigge says Kluksdahl told him her daughter was the one who brought the animals into the home.
Court documents do not list an attorney for Kluksdahl, and a home telephone number could not immediately be found.
