Bismarck’s ‘Small Business Saturday’ Will Offer Something for Everyone in 2015
Black Friday is a great day to score deals, but those looking for a local flair for their holiday shopping need to look no further than Small Business Saturday in downtown Bismarck.
On Saturday, November 28, nearly 40 businesses in downtown Bismarck will be participating in the national shopping day aimed at encouraging people to spend their money in small, local shops. With the wide variety of retail, restaurant, service, and entertainment options available downtown, there's sure to be something to appeal to every shopper.
Select restaurants are hosting breakfast and coffee promotions as well as dining specials. Many retailers and service businesses are offering door busters and discounts on merchandise, gift cards, and services. Entertainment businesses like Dakota Stage are also offering ticket deals.
The Downtowners are urging those participating in the event to use #ShopSmallBis on social media to track their shopping activities.
Specific sale details is available on the Downtowners' website or in this flyer.
Small Business Saturday was first started in 2010 in an effort to get the public to "shop small" for the holidays. In 2012, patrons spent nearly $5.5 billion nationwide on the day. What started as a single shopping day the Saturday after Thanksgiving has quickly turned into a national movement, and Bismarck is no different.
