BSC Honcho Skogen Gets Chancellor Nod

The state Board of Higher Education voted Wednesday to appoint Bismarck State College president Larry Skogen as interim chancellor of the North Dakota University System.

Skogen, who has served as acting interim chancellnor since June, was chosen over former North Dakota Commerce Commissioner Shane Goettle by a 5-3 vote.

Skogen, a Hettinger native, has been president of BSC since 2006.
