4th Of July Fever Starts Early Here In Bismarck-Happy 250th!
I'm well aware that winter officially just began last month
Who cares, though? For even if it's 22 degrees below zero here in Bismarck, I can now just let my mind drift back to New Year's Eve in Mandan, when a world record was set! Were you one of the lucky ones who saw this? Well, all it did was psyche me up for the 4th of July - and Bismarck has their fireworks show planned already.

Bismarck's 4th Of July Celebration

BISMARCK, N.D. — Bismarck’s 4th of July celebration will return to the MDU Resources Community Bowl on Bismarck State College’s campus for the second consecutive year. The event will help the capital city celebrate the 250th anniversary of America. Bismarck’s Fourth of July event is free and open to the public and will once again offer a fun, patriotic, and family-friendly environment with familiar favorites and new surprises.
The celebration is focused on an enhanced community experience featuring interactive games and
activities, live music, including the return of the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, and a grand finale fireworks display. Additional event details will be announced at a later date. Guests will notice some construction taking place on the track and playing field inside the bowl. Thanks to the coordination and support of Bismarck Public Schools and the construction partners, the community will be able to gather safely and enjoy the celebration.
The 2025 celebration showed just how much this event means to our community,” said Jason Tomanek, City Administrator for the City of Bismarck. “Over 8,000 residents and visitors came together to celebrate the 4th, and the response from the community was overwhelmingly positive. We’re proud to continue building on that momentum in 2026 as we mark America’s 250th anniversary and deliver another meaningful community experience for Bismarck.” More details on schedules, parking information, activities, and the special theme to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary will be released soon.
