Latest Cold Snap a Record Breaker

The weekend cold snap shattered some records, but relief is on the way.

The Bismarck Tribune reports several towns in both North and South Dakota, including Bismarck, hit record lows Saturday and Sunday.  Meteorologists attribute this latest cold snap to the so-called Alberta clipper system.

Temperatures should rise into the twenties and thirties around the region by the end of the week.
