MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Two separate traffic crashes involving moose have been reported in North Dakota in the past two days.

The Minot Police Department reports that a vehicle hit a moose on a city street early Friday. The driver suffered only minor scratches, but the moose had to be killed because it had severe injuries.

On Wednesday, a pickup truck hit a moose on Interstate 94 near Casselton. The driver and a passenger were not seriously injured, but that moose also had to be killed. Authorities say the moose involved in the crash near Casselton could be the same one spotted earlier this week in West Fargo.
