According to the Bismarck Police Department, after a crash on February 12, 2020 the police department are looking for a missing fire hydrant. A vehicle lost control while heading south on ward road near the Tom O'Leary Park around 1:30 P.M. and hit the fire hydrant. The driver of the vehicle was ejected from his vehicle and suffered minor injuries. The driver was not wearing his seatbelt and went to a local hospital where the driver was treated for minor injuries.

Bismarck Police were investigating the crash site when an officer noticed the fire hydrant was gone and searched the area and couldn't locate it. The officer deemed the fire hydrant stolen and it's valued at $2500. Bismarck Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for the stolen fire hydrant.
