Donald Sterling, the owner of the L.A. Clippers has been banned for life from the NBA, over disparaging racial comments made in a recorded conversation.

Yahoo!  Sports reports NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced Tuesday that Sterling is now forbidden "to attend any NBA games or practices, be present at any Clippers office or facility, or participate in any business or player personnel decisions involving the team."

In addition, Sterling must pay a $2.5 million fine and sell the team.  The NBA says it will work with Sterling in selling the Clippers.  A number of groups have already come forward expressing interest in buying the team.
