ND Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Sex Charge

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man has pleaded guilty in federal court to a sex abuse charge.

Authorities say 43-year-old Steven Whiteman Jr. admitted using force to engage in sexual contact with a woman on Nov. 4, 1011, in the Fort Yates area.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 18 in Bismarck.
