GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — New faculty and administrators at the University of North Dakota are on a three-day tour of the state.

The event is meant to give the new staff a look at the state and introduce them to alumni and others. About 30 people are on this year's tour, including the school's new provost, Thomas DiLorenzo.

This year's route will take the group to northern North Dakota, with stops planned in Rugby, Minot and Tioga. The tour will conclude Wednesday with a picnic at Turtle River State Park, west of Grand Forks.

Former UND President Tom Clifford started the bus tour 23 years ago.
