Teenagers should take extra precautions when driving in North Dakota.

According to CarInsurance.com, North Dakota is the second most dangerous state for teen drivers.

The data is based on the number of teenager driving fatalities, teen drinking and driving rates, teen texting and driving rates, the average insurance cost for teens and the effectiveness of Graduated driving license (GDL) components.

The report says that North Dakota can cut its rate of fatal crashes by 56% if it adopted better GDL provisions.

The report also states that 59% of teens text and drive in North Dakota. The state suffers 10 teenager fatalities per 100,000 teenagers.
