After a vote to keep the blue laws in North Dakota on Monday, the House voted again on Tuesday, and the decision was reversed.

It came by the slimmest of margins, but a 48-46 vote by the North Dakota House on Tuesday repealed the previous decision to keep the blue laws.

Proponents of the law, such as Rep. Pamela Anderson, D-Fargo, say that the government should not be allowed to tell businesses when they should and should not be open. The business owners will have the option as to whether they want to open up earlier on Sundays.
