North Dakota’s Population Reaches All Time High
North Dakota is still growing according to the latest information by the U.S. Census Bureau. The states population grew by 2.5% from last year.
That 2.5% equates to an additional 16,887 people that moved into the state since last year. The total population of the state is 756,927.
Gov. Jack Dalrymple said
It’s great to see that our economic growth continues to keep North Dakotans home and that we are attracting new residents who come for good jobs, a strong economy and our great quality of life
The state is also becoming younger with the average age of 34.9. Since 2004 North Dakotas' population has grown every year. A huge attraction is the low unemployment rate at 2.7%, the lowest in the nation.
