One Student, Gunman Dead in Oregon Shooting
A student is dead following a shooting at a high school near Portland, Oregon Tuesday.
Police identified the student killed as 14-year-old Emilio Hoffman, a freshman. The gunman, said to also be a student, reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The local sheriff's office reported shots were fired at the school around 8AM, local time in the suburban Portland town of Troutdale. Students and teachers took cover during the incident.
